MELBOURNE, 29 December 2024: After five years in the making, Snick and Willow, the world’s first cricket-focused animated series, made its grand debut today. Created by Ken Cantrill, an innovative storyteller and Head of Creative at Xentrix Studios Australia, this groundbreaking series brings together the best of animation, culture, and cricket. The series launch comes amid the Cricket fever gripping Melbourne and Australia as the Australia-India Boxing Day Test moved towards an exciting conclusion on the fourth day.

Launched today by Veteran British Cricketer Lord Ian Botham, cricket icon and Snick and Willow’s ambassador, who also lends his voice to the character Johnno Evans, Willow’s father. Present at the event was Ken Cantrill, the visionary behind this pioneering series. People from the sporting, film, and the entertainment fraternity were present in large numbers to welcome the Cricket series.

Snick and Willow is more than just a story about cricket. It is a David-and-Goliath narrative that unites the cricketing cultures of India and Australia. The series delves into themes of diversity, gender equality, inclusion, and multiculturalism, celebrating the universal spirit of the game.
