Melbourne’s ‘Suprabhat Yoga’ with Meenakshi Lekhi

MELBOURNE, 8 August 2022: India’s Minister of State for External Affairs and Culture, Meenakshi Lekhi today started off her day with ‘Suprabhat Yoga’, for health and well-being at the Indian Consulate here. Organized by the Ayush Information Cell, Melbourne, the early-morning one-hour Yoga session saw many locals join the event to mark the Minister’s visit to Australia. Mr. Rajendra Yenkamnamoole the founder of Vasudeva Kriya Yoga did the first session, with Minister Meenakshi Lekhi, Australia India Institute CEO Lisa Singh, and the new Indian Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar joining in the first row.

Minister Meenakshi Lekhi who took a keen interest in and participation in the Yoga event has been attending functions in Melbourne for a few days. Asked by South Asia Times about her visit, the Minister informed about the main function she came here to attend.

The second session of the ‘Suprabhat Yoga’was conducted by Yogini Srimathumitha.
