The Victoria Police have denied that another arrest has been made in the Gurshan murder case. The PTI had yesterday reported that Gursewak Dhillon’s (charged with manslaughter of toddler Gursan) wife had been arrested for helping her husband dispose of the toddler. But how the toddler got ‘unconscious’ after which he was taken by Gursewak Dhillon remains a riddle.

Earlier, a person who lived in the same house of three-year-old Indian boy Gurshan Singh, whose body was found on a roadside in Melbourne on Thursday, has been charged over his death.Police allege that part-time taxi driver Gursewak Dhillon, 23, placed the boy unconscious in the boot of his car and drove him around for at least three hours before dumping him in a field north of Melbourne.

He face Melbourne Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday charged with manslaughter due to criminal negligence, reports Hearld Sun.

Earlier, The body of a young boy was found beside a north Melbourne road. Victoria police say the body fits the description of a three-year-old Indian boy reported missing earlier on Thursday. A local council worker driving along the road noticed the body lying in grassland near the intersection of Wildwood and St Johns roads in Oaklands Junction at about 6pm (AEDT), police said.

“A council worker driving past noticed a body on the side of the road,” a police spokesman told AAP

Deputy Commissioner Sir Ken Jones says police are treating the death as a homicide.

“At this stage we have a bereaved, possibly bereaved, parents, because formal identification has yet to take place,” he said.

“But sadly I’m pretty certain that the little dead child we found is in fact missing Gurshun.”

Earlier, a three-year-old Indian toddler was missing from near David Street, Lalor (north Melbourne) since after 1 pm today. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a grey top and blue jeans. Police are searching the toddler who has dark skin and brown hair.

John: same goes for you. Mind like a knife that cuts through the bullsh*t that morons like Jagan try to spoil our world with.

Thank goodness for people who think sensibly like yourself and John.

Jagan: you are a feeble, intellectually weak, fearful, jealous pathetic little idiot. Get back under the rock you crawled out of.

Poor kid, all I can say is that Indians seem to to like to play the innocents here in Australia and guess perhaps all over the world. Australians arent racist but are proud of the culture and proud people. Sad to hear that Indian community groups in Australia are so quick to point out racism whenever something happens to a Indian here. The fact is that Indians have more ways to divide and discriminate humans than any society in the world, but few Indians would admit to this. They discriminate by race, skin color, caste, religion, regionality(“madrasis”) … if there are any other ways to divide people, they do that too..

Many crimes by indians have been commited her in Australia also. Indian Doctor being charged for manslaughter, Indian parents not providing suitable care for their children resulting in death. the list goes on.

In 2007, according to India’s National Crime Records Bureau, 32,318 people were murdered in India. Another 3644 were victims of ”culpable homicide”, roughly equating to manslaughter. In a category of its own, 8093 brides or their relatives were killed in ”dowry deaths” – murdered by greedy grooms and in-laws angry over the amount of dowry paid by the bride’s family. And there were a further 27,401 attempted murders.

By contrast, in 2007, the Australian Bureau of Statistics reports, 255 people were murdered in Australia. Another 28 were victims of manslaughter, and 246 survived attempted murders. No dowry deaths were recorded.

India, of course, is a very big country. But the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime estimates that relative to population, its homicide rate is more than twice that of Australia. It is a country in which violent crime is commonplace – so commonplace that every day more than 100 Indians are murdered by other Indians, yet their TV news channels treat this as humdrum unless it involves some celebrity or unusual features.

Yet when an Indian is murdered overseas, these news channels whip themselves and their viewers into a froth of indignation at the country concerned. How can this happen?, they thunder. How can any civilised nation fail to protect its residents? What kind of racist country is this?

How does this happen? Well, it happens because human beings are imperfect creatures. They can be selfish, they can be hateful, they can enjoy hurting, even killing, other humans. It happens here, it happens in India, it happens everywhere.

if India can not protect their own citizens in their own country, by leaving them to immigrate else where does not resolve issues. Indians themselves need to look at themselves and resolve all racial attacks within their own society. In India thousands of children are being mutilated annually. The joints of their bones get injected with bleach. Infection is the result and amputation follows. Eyes are stuck out as well.

Afterwards, the children are sent out on the streets where they have to beg for money, 15 hours a day or more. The proceeds of the begging goes to the torturers, which are organised gangs specialised in mutilation and exploitation of defenceless children.

Visibly deformed children invoke pity and sympathy, and thus these children are lucrative beggars. Especially western tourists appear to be sensitive; they give money generously. Therefore, tourism is one of the most important causes for the growth of this horrible practice. Perhaps India should have a 1 child policy, if it is good for China it should be good for India.

  3. Jagan:

Put simply, you are an idiot.

You do not know how to engage in a rational discussion, and your reasoning is extremely poor. I find it very difficult to believe that somebody of your intellectual standard would be employed to teach anybody anything anywhere in the world.

Try actually reading John’s excellect response to your own hysterical and racist tantrum, and make an attempt to answer his incisive arguments with logic and actual evidence. Merely claiming that you did not like living in Australia, that your could not adapt, that you failed there and went elsewhere with your tail between your legs proves nothing of any worth to anybody else.

  4. @John Raye
best peice of writing I have read in ages!! Thank you for actually acknowledging that Racisim is not the real issue here.

  5. John, Did you get pissed off…Why? Just because I said “All Australians are racists”. I was there and experienced “Racsiam” firsthand. I have visited several paces, including some places where US Govt. tells their citizens not to visit. But never had to face anything like what I have in Australia. I didn’t come to Australia looking for a job. I came there as an expat to educate Australians in the field I was working in USA. It was suppose to be 2 yrs assignment…came back to US after a month. Do you want to know why? Apparently you don’t want to hear, unless I sugar coat it and say “Hail Australians”. To quote Jack Nicholson in movie Few Good Men … ” You can’t handle the F*&^ing Truth”.

I'm saying …I don't give rats’ ass on who wins most medals. Apparently that’s all you care about.
I wrote my comments strictly based on my experience in Australia. May be I met bad bunch of people. I agree I shouldn't have generalized….. but I was quite pissed off.

If you had similar experience in India…vent it out dude. Don't just cover it up and deny it.

  7. Jagan:

You are a paranoiac, hysterical, xenophobic racist.

You shame your entire nation, and Indian people all over the globe.

I’m willing to bet that you’ve never travelled to Australia, never met an Australian (of any ethnic background), and know nothing at all about this extremely diverse complex society. Let me guess: you’d think that its all “white devils” with kangaroos and surfboards? I expect that’s pretty much what you think. You need to get an education, travel, mix outside your own group, and drag yourself out of the mid-20th century inot the present day.

You really think that Australia is “racist”? Maybe you should try thinking about India for a while first. Right now Australia and other nations are being warned not to send any athletes to India under threat of death to those athletes; I don’t recall any groups in Australia threatening foreigners like that.

Perhaps we should all boycott the Commonweath games etc. and give you what you appear to want. Indian’s seem to think Australia is a nation of racists, so you wouldn’t want us coming over (and winning most of the Commonweath Games medals as usual) would you?

Many foreigners are victims of crime in India every year. That’s not just “isolated incidents” now, is it Jagan?

Just look at any foreign office government website and look at the statistics and warnings for travellers in India. Look at the UK site. Looks at Australia’s DFAT site. You need a reality check, buddy.

It is sadly impossible to guarentee absolute safety anywhere in the world.

There are 300,000 Indian students in Australia. Of course some, unfortunately will become victims: its a law of averages. Do the maths, Jagan, then try thinking, and then bother ther rest of us with your writing.

Note that a number of Indians in Australia have, in recent months, been arrested for:

    * Falsely claiming that they have been attacked (for compensation claims, insurance claims etc.)

    * For assaulting other Indians in Australia – indeed murdering other Indians.

    * for committing very serious offences against other members of the community (culpable driving resulting in death, sexual assault against children, etc.)

    * also recall that twenty-three-year-old Indian taxi driver Gursewak Dhillon, who has been charged with causing the death of Gurchan Singh – NOT AN AUSTRALIAN! And Dhillon was allegedly an illegal alien who had oustayed his visa or similar!

If you don’t know how to use Google etc., Jagan, I can provide examples of all the above as sources (links) to reports form respectable independent news agencies.

And yet the way taht India was poised and eager to blame Australians yet again for “racism” when that poor child Gurshan was found dead really offends me! The whole of my country deserves an apology now that an Indian culprit has been arrested.

SORRY AUSTRALIA, PLEASE FORGIVE INDIA FOR ITS HYSTERICAL MEDIA-DRIVEN RACISM TOWARDS YOU.

  9. Doesn’t matter what Mr.Rudd says, All the Australians are racists. No body can deny that fact. I can understand one two rare incidents here and there…But this many on only Indian community? How can you justify Mr. Prime Minister? You must be living under the cave to not to notice what is happening? What would you say, If same number of attacks happen on Austrialians in India or any where else? What would you call that? RACISM I bet you would
