Melbourne: Despite government assurances and attempts to plug attacks on Indian overseas students more attacks have taken place. A group of Indian students last night (Friday, 5 June) were allegedly attacked by another group in the northern suburb of Thomastown. Unconfirmed reports say the attackers numbered around 30. One of the victims barely managed to escape without injuries. Police had arrived at the scene and not much is known as to what happened after that.
Another attack in the morning happened on 20 year old from Haryana Amrit Singh (student at the Caps College) at a Mc Donalds outlet, according to NDTV.
Meanwhile, an Indian telemarketing team leader at UCMS Mr. Krishna Gopalakrishna, was allegedly attacked in St. Albans. The report is unconfirmed.
