Mumbai, 25 August 2026 — Netflix has unveiled the trailer of Gandhari, an action-thriller starring Taapsee Pannu as Bani, a mother whose desperate search for her abducted daughter draws her into a dangerous underworld in the fictional town of Joypurra. Directed by Devashish Makhija and written and produced by Kanika Dhillon, the film premieres globally on Netflix on 3 September 2026.

The story blends intense action with themes of courage and sacrifice, featuring one of Pannu’s most physically demanding roles as Bani confronts hidden truths, mounting danger and unexpected allies. The ensemble includes Ishwak Singh as a grieving father, Jatin Sarna as the investigating officer, and Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vashisht and Chhaya Kadam in pivotal roles.

Pannu said Bani’s refusal to give up, even when “everything seemed stacked against her,” was the core of the role, while Makhija described the film as a universal story about the extraordinary lengths someone will go to for love.

Gandhari will stream exclusively on Netflix worldwide from 3 September 2026.
