MELBOURNE, 12 August 2022: Director Anurag Kashyap, actress Taapsee Pannu, and actress Tamannaah were present at the IFFM-2022 media conference here today. Taapssi Pannu has a leading role in the Anurag-directed Doobaraa’, the opening movie of the festival.
I asked Anurag and Taapsee their views on the onslaught of OTT (streaming services) challenges to movies in the traditional theatres. Both like going to the theatre but have no control over people watching movies through OTT platforms.
Tamannaah is a pan-Indian movie diva in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films. She was the lead actress in the super hit Baahubali and later Baahubali 2. The stunning actress spoke about the pan-India success of Pushpa and the Indian and global reach of Indian movies.
