MELBOURNE, 20 June, 2026: Netflix has announced IKKA, a Hindi-language courtroom thriller starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, set to premiere on July 10.
Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra and produced by Alchemy Films, the film centres on a high-stakes legal battle where a renowned lawyer, played by Deol, is forced to defend a man from his past, portrayed by Khanna. The case reignites old conflicts and tests his moral convictions, placing both his principles and family life at risk.
The cast also includes Tillotama Shome as a determined public prosecutor and Dia Mirza as the lawyer’s wife navigating the emotional strain on their family.
Marking Sunny Deol’s debut on Netflix, IKKA revisits the courtroom genre that helped define his career, while reuniting him with Khanna after decades. Netflix India’s content head Monika Shergill described the film as a layered, character-driven drama exploring justice, truth, and accountability.
Blending personal conflict with legal intrigue, IKKA promises a tense narrative built around moral dilemmas, shifting loyalties, and emotional stakes beyond the courtroom.
