Neha Bashin’s ‘Kut Kut Bajra’ blend of folk & Kathak (See video)

NEW DELHI: Neha Bhasin in the Indian music fraternity simply doesn’t need any introduction. She’s a slayer and a trendsetter in the true sense of the term and well, we all love her vibe, don’t we? Right from the mesmerising impact and charisma that she brings to the table with her music to her swag and sizzling fashion game, we are truly ardent admirers of everything.

Right now, Neha Bhasin is in the news for her new chartbuster ‘Kut Kut Bajra’. For the unversed, it is a neo-folk song that takes off from the Punjabi folk tradition. It is an acoustic delight with a groovy vibe. The video is quite festive and colourful and Neha has collaborated with Kathak rockers and fused folk with Kathak style for the same. Given the buzz that the song is creating, it is set to be the ideal wedding song this season.

Neha says, “Well, for a long time, I was planning something on this note and this worked out. I wanted a vibe where it would be a blend of folk and at the same time something that could get the dancing shoes on. I love the mood and the vibe that this song creates and I have high expectations from the song. I look forward to it being the wedding song of the season going forward.”

“I am loving the reception that the song is getting and my messages are filled with positive feedback. I am grateful and happy that people are loving it. So many people are making reels on social media and are tagging me. I am loving all of it. We wanted people to connect to the choreography because we worked very hard on it,” she adds.

Neha Bhasin’s neo-folk style song takes off from the golden Punjabi folk “kut kut bajra” hook into a organic /acoustic delight composed by sameeruddin and lyrics by Kabul Bukhari. The song is a fun love song banter with contemporary arrangement laced with earthy undertones.
