Melbourne, Oct 28 — Cricket Australia has reported record annual revenue of A$601.1 million ($423 million) and a net surplus of A$81.8 million ($57 million) for 2025-26, driven by the men’s Ashes and a limited-overs series against India.
CA said the result marked a return to surplus after an A$11.3 million net loss in 2024-25, reflecting strong commercial performance, record audiences and a successful international season.
Todd Greenberg, Cricket Australia CEO, said, “The record revenue and large forecast surplus represents an excellent performance in a year in which we faced considerable challenges including the revenue lost due to the two-day Ashes Tests in Perth and Melbourne.”
The home Ashes series against England and India’s white-ball tour generated record media-rights, commercial and match-day revenue. The Ashes alone drew 859,580 spectators across 18 days, averaging 47,754 per day.
Mike Baird, CA Chair said, “I am delighted that we have achieved record revenue and a significant surplus this year.”
Despite the strong result, CA expects losses in each of the next two financial years.
