The International Cricket Council has confirmed the return of ICC Women’s Cricket Week, with nearly 60 Member countries signed up for the second edition – up from 44 in 2025.
Running from 21-28 June alongside the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England and Wales, the initiative turns the 12-team tournament into a global celebration owned by the entire cricket community.
Participating boards will organise local events – from coaching festivals to watch parties – in exchange for their activities being featured across ICC broadcast and social media platforms.
Full Members taking part include:
-
Australia – all-girls social cricket with colour-powder play and water-balloon batting
-
Sri Lanka – under-16 coaching festivals across five districts
-
Pakistan – coaching and matches engaging 250+ female students and players
Associate Members from Eswatini to Brazil have also signed up, with activities focused on watch parties and women’s participation events through the ICC’s criiio programme.
“Nearly 60 Members across all continents are committed to activating the World Cup in their own unique way,” said ICC Chief Executive Sanjog Gupta. “Our members see themselves not as mere spectators in our success, but as authors of it.”
The week will be showcased on stadium big screens, broadcast world feeds, social media and a dedicated ICC digital hub under the #WomensCricketWeek banner.
Last year’s inaugural week engaged 13,783 women and girls globally, generated 2.9 million video views and 14 million impressions – with Sierra Leone alone contributing over 6,500 participants.
With participation jumping from 44 to 60 Members in just one year, the 2026 edition promises to extend that impact even further.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 runs 12 June – 5 July in England and Wales
