Vijay Kumar wins 2nd position in 400 m race at AACT U20 Championship

CANBERRA/MELBOURNE, 30 January, 2023 : India’s Vijay Kumar, won the second position at the 400 m race at the AACT U20 Championship held in Canberra from 27 -29 January 2023. Vijay has been active in sports for many years and won laurels for himself and India across the world. His is ably coached by India’s Railway Ministry’s Antony Das, whose trips he never forgets to use when in the field. 

Earlier, Vijay has participated in the World Para Athletics Grand Prix Bydgoszcz (Poland) winning the Bronze Medal in 400 m, participated in the Senior 15th National Para Athletics Championship 2019 For Cerebral Palsy 400 m, participated in the Senior 15th National Para Athletics Championship 2019 For Cerebral Palsy 800 m (Gold Medal), participated Senior 15th National Para Athletics Championship 2019 For Cerebral Palsy 1500 m (Gold Medal), participated Senior 15th National Para Athletics Championship 2019 For Cerebral Palsy 4×100 m (Gold Medal), participated Senior 18th National Para Athletics Championship 2018, 800 m (Gold Medal), participated Senior 18th National Para Athletics Championship 2018, 1500 m (Gold Medal) and participated Senior 18th National Para Athletics Championship 2018, 400 m (Silver Medal).

Talking to SAT on the phone from Sydney, Vijay Kumar said, ” The field was good in Canberra and next time, I feel, my performance will be better.”

” After winning the second position in the 400 m race, I called India and talked to my mother, who was happy to hear my achievement,” Vijay Kumar said.

Vijay Kumar also, participated in Queensland championship Australia 2020.(100 m), the Indian open para athletics championships Karnataka (Bangalore) 2019 silver medal 400 m, 2nd Indian open para athletics championships Karnataka (Bangalore) 2021 silver medal 400 m, 3rd Indian open para athletics championships Karnataka (Bangalore) 2021 silver medal 100 m, participated in the Czech Open 2022, 100 m (Gold medal), 4th Indian open athletics championship 2022 Karnataka Bangalore 400 m silver medal and  the current championship in Canberra.
