MELBOURNE, 26 January 2022: The Australia India Society of Victoria (AISV) today jointly celebrated Australia Day and India’s Republic Day (The Indian Way) at the Amberlee Receptions, Cranbourne. India’s Counsel General Mr.Raj Kumar, Local Labor MP Pauline Richards, Legislative Council President Bruce Atkinson, Manjit Ginny Singh V-P AISV, Karan Gandhok, President AISV among others.
There were speeches, entertainment items, people honored, and a tasty dinner. The community was well represented and one could also hear the music of the Aboriginal people. Appreciation certificates were given away to many in recognition of services to the Australian Indian community in Victoria.
The event took place at the beautiful Amberlee Receptions, 1451 South Gippsland Hwy, Cranbourne VIC 3977.
