Daniel Andrews & Matthew Guy join hands for multicultural Victoria

MELBOURNE, 19 March 2022: With around 1,400 people from multicultural communities in a hall at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, live music and food, it was a gala dinner cum entertainment evening never to be forgotten. Lots of ethnic attire could be seen. The colorful stage was alive with a band playing music. A true representation of the different communities was visible. Every continent people were represented now makes Victoria the most multicultural state in Australia. This annual feature could not take place for the last two years due to the Covid pandemic. Today’s evening’s strength and vibrance were a sort of revenge to get normal and keep going ahead. Premier Daniel Andrews was there and in his address commended the efforts of volunteers who helped fight the pandemic. He also touched on the Ukraine crisis and offered a settlement for any refugees from Ukraine.

Others who addressed included Matthew Guy, Leader of Opposition in Victoria, Vivienne Nguyen Chairperson, VMC, Victoria’s multicultural minister, and Ros Spence among others. There were many cultural items and the program continued till late into the night.
