Mumbai, 9 September 2026 — Netflix has released the trailer for Lust Stories 3, marking the return of its International Emmy®-nominated anthology series. The third instalment unites four celebrated filmmakers—Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj—each crafting a standalone story exploring love, desire, relationships and the complications that arise when emotions collide.
The new season promises heightened drama, chaos and heartbreak across four distinct cinematic worlds. An ensemble cast featuring Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Gurfateh Pirzada navigates tangled relationships, unexpected choices and the many shades of human desire.
According to the filmmakers, the anthology balances humour and chemistry with moments of vulnerability and introspection. Motwane described being drawn to the tension between everyday comfort and the pull of the unexpected, while Rao highlighted how attraction can spiral into complicated consequences. Batra focused on emotional ambiguity—where affection, insecurity and frustration coexist—and Bhardwaj explored desire’s link to imagination and the stories people tell themselves.
Each director emphasised the creative freedom Netflix provided, allowing them to craft intimate, unpredictable narratives without moral judgement. The result is an emotionally layered ride that aims to be as relatable as it is entertaining, celebrating distinctive storytelling and the beautiful messiness of human connections.
